Prevention & Youth Engagement Coordinator
Makeda Andargachew (she/her) works as a Prevention & Youth Engagement Coordinator, where she supports strategies on decreasing youth substance misuse through educational workshops and youth-centered strategies. She started as a LifeSci intern in 2023 for the maternal health division of SIPCW as a marketing and social media specialist. Although primarily a maternal health intern, she was afforded the opportunities by staff members to attend events and professional development workshops that encouraged her growth. When Partnerships had a Coordinator position open, she applied and was officially onboarded as a staff member. She has worked at Partnerships since June 2023 and is grateful for the support and opportunities she received at the organization
